Last night I made beef brisket for dinner, and I wanted to finish off the meal with a delicious homemade dessert. I settled for semi-homemade. At the encouragement of Mel, I decided to give lemon curd a try. I bought a jar of lemon curd (straight from England — might as well start by trying the good stuff). I mixed it with whipped cream, and it resulted in a yummy lemon mousse. Here's what I did with it:

I used frozen puff pastry shells that were super easy to prepare. Just take them out of the package, pop them in the oven for 20 minutes, and they're done! I filled the pastry shells with the lemon mousse, topped with a bit of whipped cream and then finished off the presentation with fresh lemon zest. It was seriously one of the best desserts I've ever eaten — ever.
